Terra Cut , Defend and slice
A downloadable game for Windows
Terra Cut
Gameplay Overview:
In Terra Cut, you control a single, powerful alien spacecraft equipped with a unique weapon: a massive, energy-based laser capable of slicing enemy ships clean in half. This laser is the core mechanic of the game, requiring precise aiming and timing to maximize its destructive potential.
Core Mechanics:
- Laser Cutting System: The ship’s primary weapon is a high-energy beam that you can control with precision. You’ll need to carefully line up shots to slice through multiple ships in a single pass or target specific weak points to disable larger vessels.
- Wave-Based Combat: Human ships attack in waves, with each wave increasing in difficulty. Early waves may feature smaller, lightly armored ships, but as you progress, you’ll face larger battleships, carriers, and squadrons that require strategic thinking to destroy efficiently.
- Power Management: The laser requires a charge, so you must manage its energy levels. Timing your shots to maximize efficiency without leaving yourself vulnerable during recharges
- Enemy Variety: Different human ships have varied attack patterns, speed, and durability. Ships can be heavily armored, forcing you to find their weak points.
Objective: Survive as long as possible by strategically using your laser and upgrades to fend off ever-increasing waves of human invaders.

The UI on the settings and about through the main page is difficult to read, and the settings and buttons do not give any feedback, making for a worse experience as it's the first you see.
The game plays nicely, and I love that the ships are blocks and can be targeted separately. However, the hits and being hit lack feedback, and the big beam is blinding. I had a lot of fun playing the game.
